How To Reach

Rail – Dehradun is well connected to major cities like Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Kolkata and Varanasi by Indian Railways network. There are various High-speed trains like Jan Shatabdi, Mussoorie Express, Shatabdi and Doon Express which connects Dehradun to various parts of our country.

Road – The city has an Interstate bus terminal (ISBT) near Clement Town which links the city to various other states like Delhi, Haridwar, Agra and Shimla. Deluxe and Semi-deluxe buses are easily available from Delhi to Dehradun and vice versa. Delhi is 255 Kms away from Dehradun so candidates from the capital and its near by region generally prefers to travel by bus.

Air – If you are planning to go by air then you have to deboard at Jolly Grant Airport. There are 5 flights in a week from Delhi to Dehradun that are offered by national carrier Indian Airlines and other private carriers.

Hotels -

There is a (Agarwal Dharamshala) or Hospice near (walking distance) from Dehradun Railway station which provides rooms at very low rates (approx Rs.100). However you can take quilt and bedsheets for separate charges and the rooms are having attached bathroom so bad smell is one of the big problems which you have to counter. You have to deposit around 400 rs which will be returned to you when you leaves the room, you must carry a copy of your ID proof and a Lock with you to get a room.
