Allahabad Board or Selection Center East hosts five Boards that are 11SSB, 14SSB, 18SSB, 19SSB and 34SSB. Since its establishment the Center has provided huge number of potential candidates who became successful officers.

Allahabad Board is one of the biggest board in terms of handling candidates, The board has large auditoriums and huge outdoor space,

the board has also created an infamous image of Rejection Board among the candidates because of huge number of rejection from the board.

History

Allahabad Selection Center was raised way back in 1957 with a motive to sort out candidates for defence forces. The selection process is based on Psychological Tests, Group Discussions, Ground Tasks and Personal Interview.

How To Reach

Allahabad is one of the cities in our country which are easily accessible from various parts.

Rail– The city is well connected by Indian Railways Network and Allahabad Junction is in close vicinity of Selection Center. You must choose that train which is well before your reporting time as you know our rail delays.

Road– The city is well covered by National Highways 2 and 27 and UPSRTC buses provides their service.

The City is connected by buses even from Delhi also. So, candidates coming from Lucknow and Kanpur must give a thought to travel by by bus if it is comfortable.

Air– The nearest Airport i.e. Bamrauli Airport is 14 Km away from the main city. National Carrier Air India operates its Flights at 4.20 PM everyday except on Sunday. While Jet Airways has its service on Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 4:15 PM.

Place to Visit

Allahabad is one of the historical cities of India and offer wide range of Tourist Attractions. But as you are going for Exam you must not think yourself as tourist and visit two or three destination, the famous places of Allahabad are Sangam, Allahabad Fort, Ashoka Pillar, Nani Bridge, Hanuman Mandir, Swaraj Bhawan and Anand Bhawan.

Be careful while visiting the city, you must not get in unnecessary disputes with locals as this might create trouble for you.

Please Note that Boating is not permitted as per Selection Centers Guidelines.

Apart from general accommodation, messing facilities board has various other facilities like STD/ISD, FAX and Internet browsing at Olive Green Restaurant, Centralized Cinema on weekends, Newspapers, Television in Ante-room Cafeteria, Barber, Washer man, Canteen (sorry liquor not allowed), Basketball court, Indoor games like Table Tennis, Carom Board, Chess etc. SBI, ICICI, AXIS have their ATM within walking distance.
